About
My diverse upbringing in Russia, China, Switzerland, Cyprus, and the United States has shaped everything I do—my academic pursuits, teaching style, and creative projects.
As an academic, I explore the legacies of colonialism, racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression while seeking pathways to healing.
As an educator, I pride myself in making complex ideas accessible to all while championing student-led learning.
Through my art and activism, I amplify marginalized voices and advocate for social change.
Committed to a pluralistic understanding of diversity, I espouse the exploration of our many differences including our ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, class, economic status, political beliefs, linguistic background, education level, religion, age, disability, illness, as well as personal goals and values.
